Lets Dance Carnival

Carnival is an incredibly important part of Caribbean heritage. It is a time when we come together to celebrate the cross pollination of identities, ideas and forms. We celebrate our heritage by looking back to our history and forward to our future. Jump in the line and Lets Dance Carnival

Project X’s Lets Dance Carnival family classes are an exploration and a celebration of Carnival as an incredibly rich diasporic artform. We learn about the different histories of Carnival. We deliver dance classes, focusing on dance for procession. We do costume making to bring our dances alive. As part of Lets Dance Carnival we regularly participate in Glasgow Merchant City Festival and the Glasgow Style Mile Winter Carnival.
