Performance Opportunity | Artist Voice 2027

Apply by 11th November 2026, 11.59pm

Artist Voice is a platform for Black dancers of the African/Caribbean diaspora in Scotland. Since 2019, Project X has supported early-career dance artists presenting their first self-choreographed work through the Artist Voice residency and choreographic platform. Join us for a chance to work with a creative team in a supported environment.

We are seeking performances from Black dance artists for the upcoming Artist Voice choreographic platform in May 2027. There are 2 spaces available. You do not need to apply with a complete performance, we will consider an idea or a concept, we simply require you to be ready to perform.

If your performance is selected, you’ll be presenting a work-in-progress/extract of your work at Artist Voice featured at Dance International Glasgow Festival 2027 (DIG27), billed alongside an International artist commissioned by Project X.

The selected artists will work with a creative mentor, and a designer/collaborator of their choosing to support the development of their work and stage design.
