Artist Voice is a programme which works to amplify artists of the African/Caribbean Diaspora working with dance and performance. This paid residency seeks to support two early career choreographers and/or dance artists to develop professionally and creatively through researching, choreographing and performing a new work in progress in Tramway in April 2024.
The residency will run from late November 2023 until the end of April with the opportunity to perform at Tramway, Glasgow on the 5th & 6th April 2024

Key information:
The fee: £4620 (approx 7 paid weeks or 35 days)
Duration: November 2023 - April 2024
Performances: Friday 5th April (evening) and Saturday 6th April (matinee)
The residency also includes:
£750 for materials and research costs
a creative mentor to support your residency
Studio time to explore, practice and develop your ideas
Dedicated time working with a costume and lighting designer to develop your stage performance
Key Dates (to apply you must be available for the following dates)
8th-20th Jan 2024: 5 residency days in The Work Room studio
19th Jan 2024: Informal sharing
26th Feb - 1st March 2024: Lighting development week in Tramway
2nd - 6th April 2024: Performance week (including rehearsals, tech and 2 performances)
