Dance Workshops for Adults

Project X delivers dance workshops for adults including, recreational classes suitable for all levels, and training workshops for dance professionals. Working both locally in Scotland as well as internationally, we collaborate with artists teaching a diverse range of dance forms.

Past workshops for adults have included: Afro Contemporary Contact with Hermes Iyele (Lagos), Hooping Workshop with Symoné (Northampton), West African Dance with Akrowa UK (Edinburgh), Movement with Christian Noelle Charles (Glasgow/New York), South African Gumboot Dancing with Morgan Njobo (Edinburgh), Mutation technique class with Storyboard P (New York), Pantsula Dance with Champions Tale (Soweto), Traditional Senegalese Dance with Eva Goudiaby (Glasgow), Afrobeat Dance class with Joy Maria Onotu (Glasgow) Locking Workshop with William Freeman (Glasgow), Dancehall with Divine Tasinda (Glasgow), Contemporary West African Dance with Erick Mauricia Valentin (Glasgow), Traditional West African Dance with Adie Baako (Edinburgh), Traditional and Contemporary diasporic dance with Mele Broomes and Ashanti Harris (Glasgow)

Project X also delivers repertoire classes to enable further engagement with our productions. Past repertoire classes for adults have included Ghost Dimensions Dance Workshop led by Mele Broomes and Ashanti Harris and delivered in collaboration with GOMA, Glasgow
